Convergence 19

Austin was a lovely city. The museum of the weird was well worth the price of admission. I took frequent notes into my phone so I would remember at least some of the people and places I met while very, very drunk.

David J played a short set. The thing I love about David J is that he doesn't seem to have a persona at all. There's all these folks on stage in makeup and goth regalia--there was even one dude in what I'm pretty sure was a riff on a traditional Makah hat--but David J is just there. I think he might've been wearing blue jeans--if he wasn't this time, he probably was the night he performed with Johnette Napolitano during her solo set in Seattle. And I love that. It's all like, "I'm part of Bauhaus, Tones On Tail AND Love And Rockets. How much more do you need?"

The bat cruise was a bit pricey for value, but the band was nice and I met some very kind people and one person who managed to find my last nerve. And I didn't fall in the Colorado River in my boots.

Now I just need to figure out how Dreamwidth works. There appears to be documentation I should look at.
